Clivet: Central HVAC Solutions with AHUs

Clivet is a trusted name in HVAC systems, offering a wide range of central AC solutions tailored to different needs and budgets. One of their key product lines includes the Air Handling Unit (AHU).

What is an Air Handling Unit (AHU)?

An AHU is a critical component of HVAC systems, responsible for managing airflow and indoor air conditions within buildings. Its primary functions include:

  • Processing outdoor air

  • Regulating temperature and humidity

  • Ensuring proper air circulation

  • Filtering and purifying air before distribution throughout the building

About Clivet

Clivet is an Italian-based company renowned for manufacturing high-performance HVAC products. Its core principles are energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. All Clivet technologies are designed to minimize environmental impact while maximizing performance and energy savings.

Clivet AHU Types and Applications

Among Clivet’s product range, AHUs are particularly sought after for industrial and commercial applications. They are designed to cater to the cooling and heating needs of various building types, such as:

  • Office buildings

  • Shopping malls

  • Exhibition halls

  • Airports and train stations

  • Hotels and factories

  • Centralized air conditioning systems

Clivet offers three standard AHU types:

  • Suspended AHU: Airflow capacity from 2,000 to 15,000 m³/h

  • Horizontal AHU: Airflow capacity from 5,000 to 35,000 m³/h

  • Vertical AHU: Airflow capacity from 3,000 to 30,000 m³/h

Additionally, Clivet provides a Modular Air Handling Unit (MAHU) version, offering greater flexibility with airflow capacities ranging from 2,000 to 240,000 m³/h.

Key Advantages of Clivet AHUs

Beyond competitive pricing, Clivet’s AHUs are packed with advanced technology and features:

1. High Structural Strength

Clivet AHU panels are built with a double-skin design and injected with high-density polyurethane foam. The exterior uses corrosion-resistant stainless steel sheets, while the interior uses galvanized steel or aluminum. The cabinet structure is reinforced with aluminum alloy profiles and hidden bolts, ensuring robust durability.

2. Cold-Bridge-Free Design

To prevent energy loss and condensation caused by temperature differences, Clivet units are engineered with a cold-bridge-free structure. Panels use high-density (50 kg/m³) polyurethane foam with low thermal conductivity (K≤0.0201W/m²·K). The access doors are frameless and tightly sealed, effectively eliminating cold bridges.

3. Low Air Leakage

Air leakage impacts HVAC efficiency. Clivet AHUs feature labyrinth-style panel profiles, fastened with bolts and nuts to ensure tight sealing. Reinforced internal steel frames help withstand high airflow pressure, achieving an impressively low air leakage rate of under 0.14%.

4. High-Performance Heat Exchangers

All Clivet AHUs come equipped with premium heat exchangers using copper tubes and aluminum fins. This combination ensures optimal heat transfer efficiency. Additionally, corrosion-resistant coatings extend the coil’s service life and reduce maintenance costs.

5. Low Noise Operation

Noise reduction is critical in environments like offices, hotels, and shopping centers. Clivet AHUs are designed for quiet performance through optimized fan selection, efficient operation, and integrated vibration absorbers to minimize noise and transmission of vibrations.
